Draftsman, 2017-2019
The Draftsman series is a collection of mobile-style LED lighting fixtures. Each module is suspended from a cantilever or counter weight, evoking a delicate balance in graceful floating form. With my background primarily working as a fabricator, technician, and CAD draftsman, I wanted to create a series that combined simple, sculptural gestures as pendant or chandelier lighting.
Hedra, 2014-2019
Hedra is a series of furniture pieces built from forms inspired by my sculptural work in Out Here and Material Dualism. The forms were built to evoke a naturalistic sense of life within forms that are both geometric and man-made. Each piece is hand made but utilizes laser cutting, TIG welding, and are finished with hand rubbed patinas or durable applied finishes.

Albright Light, 2017
The Albright Light is a custom LED light fixture named for the client who commissioned it. My client was seeking something hand-made and one of a kind, with a high level of refinement. The requirements were that it be a minimal flush-mounted ceiling fixture for the kitchen, which is practical, and highly functional. The aesthetic direction provided by my client was something slightly Art Deco with a minimal and modern approach.
Strap Collection, 2016
The Strap Collection was designed as the inaugural collection for my namesake company, Gent Design Co. With simplicity of fabrication in mind, I could work with basic steel and leather components in my workshop while sourcing custom marble surfaces from a local stone fabricator. The design intent was “sophisticated with an edge” to fit into bold, modern interiors.
